Competitive excellence: BC’s only competitive slalom team

Ready to get competitive? Get involved in BC’s only competitive slalom team, proudly representing excellence in slalom!

The CCE Paddling Club offers training and racing opportunities to all levels of slalom paddlers. We offer competitive training programs for everyone, from complete beginners to Olympic hopefuls!

Fundamentals

The Fundamentals stage is all about fun and getting comfortable in and around boats and the water. At the CCE Paddling Club we are passionate about introducing new people to the paddling community. It's never to early to start paddling and the CCE Paddling Club is a great place to start your journey.

Target Age: 8-12 yrs

Introduction to Racing

Learn to train and train to train athletes are in their first few years of paddling on the river. At this level, focus is on the basics. These future stars are introduced to the excitement of whitewater slalom racing and river running, which opens the door for to endless new possibilities of fun and adventure on the river.

Target Age: 10-16 yrs

 
 
 

High Performance

Train to compete and train to win athletes are focused on competing at a National and International level. Focusing on refining technical & tactical skills while improving river reading and slalom gate negotiation abilities. Our High Performance athletes are preparing to take on the slalom racing world and dreaming of the Olympic Games.

Target Age: 14+ yrs

Adult Slalom

Competitive for Life athletes love paddling and thrive on the idea of Sport for Life. There is no age limit for these paddlers and it's all about fun competition for everyone. Paddlers in this category range from young paddlers who enjoy competing for fun all the way up to retired national team athletes who still thirst for the excitement of sitting in the start gate.
